Covid clearly impacted this cruise. We were told that 10 percent of the crew was in quarantine, then told later that it was closer to 50%. This included the cruise director, who was absent the entire cruise, and the captain, who we were told was still providing direction and in charge. Reportedly, no crew member required medical treatment, which was great news. Of course, this impacted service, with most restaurants closed for the duration of the cruise and non-existent activities. I will say the the crew who was working, worked extremely hard and clearly were trying their best to make up for the skeleton crew and provide care to their friends who were in quarantine. We appreciated their hard work and their sincere desire to make the best of the cruise. The cruise after ours was cancelled, hopefully providing the crew time to rest, clean, and recover.
Positives:
-We had a great time. We were traveling with friends and enjoyed the trip. The ports were nothing special, but given Covid, we didn't venture too far.
