We have been regular Princess cruisers for many years. We were on the December 4 Sky Princess cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. By and large, we have a very good and pleasant experience. We attribute much of our satisfaction to the fact that the Sky Princess essentially is a brand-new ship with really impressive Medallion technology (including the best internet service we have ever experienced at sea), and the fact that the capacity of guests on our cruise was limited to about 50%, which eliminated nearly all lines and waiting. As a result, the service was very good from top to bottom, and most aspects fo the cruise were very good. However, as detailed below, the noticeable negatives were the quality of the food in certain locales and mediocre entertainment. What follows is a detailed review of our experience.

Embarkation

Our embarkation experience was great. We are Platinum status. We arrived at the dock early and, much to our pleasure, the check-in process started early, well before we were told it would begin. The check-in itself was seamless. There was plenty of staff available and the medallion setup worked well. We were escorted to a separate Platinum waiting area, where we had to wait only a short time because the ship boarded very early. As a result, we picked up several hours of cruise time to explore the ship.
