This cruise was a chance for us to celebrate the college graduation of our son back in May. We had already rescheduled once due to Covid and one couple going with us dropped out. We'll reschedule with them on a later cruise. I was a nervous wreck up until our final Covid tests came back negative. After that, I just relaxed and when we boarded the ship, it was wonderful. Caribbean Princess has been sailing with 30-40% capacity and our cruise was the same. There were no crowds and no waiting for drinks or pizza or the buffet. It was great. People complied with the mask-wearing requirements and if a mask slipped, the staff would remind us "over the nose!" I felt very safe. We practiced "sip and cover" in the bar areas but we could lower our masks for the duration of each course in the dining rooms. I felt we were offered an expanded number of seafood choices compared to other cruises. There were medallion hiccups but the app is being asked to do five or six things well, so I think that's understandable. We liked being able to locate other members of our party through our phones. I think you could do that on the large displays near the elevators as well, but I didn't try. We also used the app to order drinks wherever we were. Maybe they will update the app to track the progress of your order in real time, too. We got off to walk around at a couple ports, but didn't feel pressured to do excursions. There were two or three trivia quizzes a day and many other activities, too, to keep you amused. I would definitely take another cruise during this time. I felt safer on the ship than on land and on the airplane--I didn't want to get off!

Cabin Review

Balcony

This was my first time staying in a balcony. We had reserved an interior stateroom, but the prices for an upgrade to a balcony in the week before the cruise made it irresistible to go for it. We loved it!
