First, I realize we cruised during a pandemic. AND NCL did a great job making sure EVERYONE tested negative before we boarded. BRAVO. BUT before we left, NCL personal ON LAND in offices either in Miami or where ever they answer phones, told me the ship was ALMOST FULL and had no capacity limits. I called over 3 times, maybe 4 times to see get that info so I could BID on a room upgrade. SO I bid $850 for a mini-suite with a balcony. I DID GET IT. BUT my friends called also to ask same info.. The lady told them the cruise was less than 60% full and try bidding only $500 bucks. THEY GOT SAME ROOM TYPE I GOT for $850. (I had already won my upgrade so I couldn't change that) ONCE on the ship, I went to guest relations and they told me the ship was ALWAYS had a capacity limit of 60%. SO FIRST LIE.
Then our room (and hundreds of other rooms) ONLY had ONE USA 120V plug. WTF. Don't most people travel with a few electronics to plug in? We had 2 apple phones, an apple watch, a CPAP machine, and more. Down to guest services where it took them 30 minutes to find an extension cord as 35 people in front of me were asking for the same extension cord. CAN THEY NOT FIX THIS PROBLEM? LIKE I have NEVER EVER had a cabin with ONE 120V plug-in room.
Next, there were 6 ports we were supposed to go to. We ended up at only 5 ports and that was OK. I get the Pandemic and islands keep changing rules. This really wan't NCL fault. BUT, for the last 3 ports, you could NOT get off the ship unless you booked an EXCURSION with NCL. We didn't know that TILL THE MORING of getting into port which was at 6AM. NCL could have done a much better job of letting us all know the possibility of this happening. A few crew told us that this happens a lot. SO WHY NOT INFORM US. VERY VERY VERY disappointed and for this ONE reason, I highly recommend avoiding going on NCL again.
