We selected this cruise for the ports of call. This was a 14 day cruise with what they call a back-to-back because it stops back in Miami after 11 days then 3 more days in Bahamas. Of course with everything that was going on all of those ports of call were canceled with the exception of Bahamas. We went to Honduras, Belize, Costa Maya & Cozumel instead of Jamaica, Aruba, Columbia, Costa Rica & Panama.

This was our first time on MSC and wanted to try something different. We had no problems with the food in the Buffet and Butchers Cut and the Sushi were great. The Black Crab Restaurant was not what was expected and we stopped eating diner there after the first week because of the menu and found the buffet to fit us both. The on-board entertainment was very little to non-existent, but we don't ever take a cruise for on-board entertainment and select our cruises based on itinerary.

Communication was poor throughout the cruise from everything about the cancelations of ports to getting room service. I found out that they don't offer room service when they are in Port of Miami after I found my door hanger still on my door the morning we got into Miami and there was no answer to order coffee. Then they changed the time twice and we were given no notice about it other than looking at the phone or TV. One time I called room service to find out why the coffee wasn't delivered yet and was told "they should have made an announcement from the bridge the day before about the time change". The final issue was our day 11 in port of Miami when we were told we needed to get off the cruise ship for Customs and once that was done, we would come right back on-board and could continue on with our vacation. We got off with the other back-to-back guests and got right back on within an hour. The problem was when we got back on-board we were told we couldn't go back to our staterooms for anything and they treated us like the rest of the guests that were just now Embarking and wouldn't let us access our rooms until 2pm. My Wife needed her medication, but guest services told us "sorry you can't go because they're cleaning all staterooms and we should have notified you of this policy but didn't." Either way, these were very minor issues and not deal breakers at all. We will cruise MSC again.

Premium Balcony

This was a large accessible cabin.

Port Reviews

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve

The private island is awesome. Quite and only one ship at a time can be in port, so it's a beach day and we went twice on this cruise.

We've been here multiple times and opted to do shopping this time around.
