This was our fourth cruise on the Spirit. We love the staff and the ship. Butler and room attendent were very good. Upon arrival cleanliness was definitely suspect. We complained and they fixed that day and going forward no real issues. We only had service to the room in the evening. Covid spread was definitely all around us particularly in our mid ship level 6 location thus our desire to not have too many visits in and out of our space. Our instincts were good as the attendent tested positive just a few days into the cruise. Food is good but lots of random items unavailable. No plain Greek yogurt for instance, no bran cereals of any sort, no arugula. Almond milk was definitely an issue at breakfast so we just gave up and ordered skim milk. Drinks seem to be the shining star. Bar service as always outstanding in service and competence of drink making. When we requested a very cold Grey Goose martini with olives we got exactly that. Five star hotels around the world would do well to take lessons from Silversea. Had a lovely Christmas Eve and NYE dinner at Indochine with two other couples as all restaurants had the same menu those nights. Lovely Christmas caroling around the ship. Just enough Christmas but not too much. We had losses in 2021 so we needed to get away from the usual. La Dame on Christmas night was amazing. Well worth the extra fee. Would have gladly done La Dame at least two more nights. La Terrazza dinner two nights. Our least favorite venue for dining. Service just OK and honestly a hassle to reserve. Atlantide is beautiful and better service than all venues except La Dame. Most nights we dined there. Had the Asian good two nights at indochine. We give it a strong B.

All in all we look forward to returning God willing Covid is behind us.

We missed ports due to Covid. We had to quarantine the last day due to contact tracing. Released that evening around 8 PM after our negative PCR results. One of us tested POZ for Covid two days after returning home as did some of our new friends from the cruise. We don't blame Silversea. All in all they did the best they could under very trying circumstances. Except for the tender in one port which was awful. Jammed in like sardines and they had extra tenders doing nothing. This was in our opinion the genesis of the spread.

Cabin Review
