Okay, so we all understand this new Covid world we live in and make adjustments accordingly but I think NCL tried to push its luck one to many times with this cruise out of Miami on 12/27. My other Covid era reference was on the NCL Encore out of Seattle on 10/9, which was extremely well done.
So what was different here? For my wife and I we noticed immediately at check in at the Port of Miami a more chaotic process for pre-screening passengers (compared to our Seattle experience). Staffing levels seemed to be way off and this turned into a 3 hour ordeal, just to get pre-screened and onto the ship. The reservation time approach, where you selected a 30 min block to check-in was a joke as it was a free for all at best.
Next up, several of the entertainment acts onboard within hours of boarding where scratched and it was reported that Covid was a factor, so clearly there were some crew/staff infections that were known before we even pulled away from the pier.
Club balcony cabin. Typical for its class, nothing to write home about. Bed was bad as it left me with chronic back aches each morning.
