I will start off by Hurtigruten make it very clear in their advertising the coastal voyage is not a cruise, so if you go with that expectation you have not done your homework properly and might be disappointed.

If you want to have an authentic adventure, voyage to the Artic and back, learn and experience Norwegian culture and coastal life, see the most wonderful scenery, relax and escape the rat race and eat wonderful food then this is a trip for you.

Yes it is expensive but considering what you get fir 12 days it’s actually fantastic value for money….. the food alone was worth it. The good was exceptional and I’m a foodie. It’s Norwegian fare and you learn alot about it if you want yo.

Cabin Review

Excellent

Clean, comfortable, more spacious than expected, good storage, good bathroom, great shower. Towels changed daily and bedding if you ask the cleaners. Great uninterrupted view from window. Handy for disembarkation. Possibly quieter than higher decks where more tourists seemed to have cabins. You are on a ship so some engine noise but we split ok with earplugs. We used stairs but 2 lifts on every floor.
