The best part of the cruise was that there was no smoking in the casino- Princess noted it was temporary due to Covid- I wish they would enter the early 2020’s and make it permanent- people can’t smoke in public places, airplanes, etc and smokers cope fine – it was a pleasure walking through at any hour without smoke haze, able to sit and gamble and have a drink at the bar to watch sports with no smoke- it’s a brand new ship – don’t ruin it
Princess also does a better job than Celebrity at limiting smokers from bar areas- the Wake bar had no smoking allowed in that area- deck above was smoking deck but smoke rises so never smelled it –
The Medallion system was terrific and seamless- way ahead of any other cruise line we’ve been on – lost mine in hot tub and they knew instantly where it was
Cabin Review
next time will do a deluxe balcony to have a table and couch- worth extra $$
room was fine- light switches a bit quirky in that a very bright overhead light between bed and balcony could not be turned off unless main switch off; tv nice; desk ok; no night light in bath a drawback; great storage; bed ok comfort wise; pillows just ok; balcony fine but smaller; a/c good; shower pressure average; great cabin steward JoJo; Medallion touchless entry system terrific and options on keypad nice instead of door hangers for privacy / cleaning; live tv selection poor (9-10 channels); good movie and excursion info on tv; internet very good
