Mario, part of the Mario and Norm duo, never failed to surprise and entertain with Blues, Jazz and Country Music every evening at Cocktail hour and for several after dinner concerts
Memphis Blues!! Right off Beale Street, this Rock and Blues Museum is a must see to understand the music scene and history of Memphis!
PARTLY CLOUDY entertains as guest artists
JOSEPH NEWMAN STONE HOUSE: This antebellum home in Natchez, MS was in the Stone Family for 140 years. Joseph Britton Stone now operates it as a musical tour venue, art gallery and bed and breakfast. As part of the tour, he entertains his guests on the 1903 Steinway parlor grand. After the tour and intimate concert he serves a local praline liqueur or champagne!

I am a musician so while others seek history on these cruises I have a special affinity for the music of the Lower Mississippi region.

We choose the Melody because it is American Cruise Line's newest ship that just took to the river in August of this year!

The food was great an there was plenty of it! The staff did everything in their power to see to everyone's needs. The crew is tireless ( do they EVER sleep) and a special nod to Hotel Manager Bill who "runs a tight ship," (the ship to shore newsletter explained that he has over 25 years in the hospitality industry), Cruise Director Mason who not only keeps the activities flowing (trivia, family feud, informative lectures, arts and crafts classes) but he is an Air Force Veteran from Desert Shield and Storm and he paid homage several times to the veterans that were guests - including a WWII Army veteran who was awarded two purple hearts.

Cabin Review

Spacious - like a bedroom not what you would expect on a cruise ship with a private balcony
