We are a couple in our early 50s, we traveled with another couple mid 30s, early 40s. My wife and I are experienced cruisers, we've done all the major lines (RCL, Carnival, Celebrity, Princess, NCL), the other couple had done one other cruise years ago. Our last 3 cruises have been with Celebrity and we were lucky to do a 2 night "get to know the ship" on the Apex recently.
Embarkation - Virgin tested on site before boarding. Due to the Omicron surge and the holidays, testing sites were super busy and lines were super long so this was a great option, however, it took us 2 hours to board the ship and we were only in "line" for like 15 minutes, the rest was going through all the protocols.
Cabin - we had a balcony cabin, mid ship. The cabin is super small, very little storage, tiny sink.
