I feel that it is important to leave reviews because I definitely read them when I am researching which cruise would be right for my cruise. My last cruise was on the NCL Breakaway in December 2019 due to covid so I had a very long time to choose and pre plan for this special trip. My wife and I are in our late 40s, this was our 1st time on the Escape and the 1st time in the Haven. We intended on enjoying the ship as the destination due to all the mask wearing requirements and changing rules when leaving to go to Port so my review will lack port experiences. Arrival at the port was very smooth and simple, covid test was simple and only took about 20 minutes, we then went to the Haven check in area where we were welcomed by all the friendly staff and enjoyed some snacks while waiting to board. After a short wait we were escorted to the Haven, the Haven host told us about the facility, who to contact and so on. We then went to the American Diner which was no cost to Haven guests on the first day, the food was great and the service was top shelf. After a very short wait our rooms were available. We were booked in room 15880 aft corner balcony, this room was beautiful with everything anyone could want from great decor to the addictive expresso machine which we ordered as soon as we got home. We met Marteene our room steward and Maria our butler, these folks are such wonderful people and really worked to make our cruise so special. The balcony was huge with both a large table (for a balcony) and comfortable padded chairs for laying in the sun. The room was clean and by far the best room I have ever experienced on a cruise. My sister and her husband had room 15882 located right next to us and my adult son got a single suite on the 11th floor and they all enjoyed both the rooms and service. The one message that I hope I am able to get to NCL is the the staff in the NCL Escape is the BEST and I mean everyone, even in the buffet the staff is so wonderful with genuine friendly smiling employees who sing frequently and just make you feel special!! I have been on 4 NCL cruises prior to this on 2 different NCL ships and the Escape is hands down the best of them all.
