Sail Date: Dec 2021
Cabin: Grand Suite with Balcony (1 Bedroom)

We boarded the Odyssey of the Seas on December 12, 2021 in Port Everglades at terminal 18, sailed for two weeks on back- to- back cruises and disembarked on December 26, 2021. The ship was beautiful, filled with modern technology, art work and new venues. The crew were excellent, professional and at the tops of their professions. The covid protocols were extensive and enforced. We were on board during the covid positive test results, highly publicized in the media and found the contrast between the media reporting and the on- board experience quite different.

Ship: The Odyssey of the Seas is relatively new. Modern technology included cabin controls starting with the tap the sea pass card on the cabin door for entry, digital controls for lights and drapes, and TV controls for safety drill information, schedules and accounts. The cabin, a grand suite, was nicely laid out and very functional including plenty of storage space. The safe was a little smaller than we have experienced but adequate for our needs.

The layout of the ship is very similar to others in the Quantum class ships with the theater in the front and the Two70 in the back, with both venues hosting spectacular shows highlighted by extensive lighting and visual special effects. One show even used small drones. The costumes, singing and dancing represented a huge investment on the part of Royal Caribbean. Recommend scheduling the production shows early because they are in high demand.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite with Balcony (1 Bedroom)

The cabin was nicely organized with plenty of storage space, a bedroom and a living room with TV sets in both.
