This was a short, 5 day cruise, going solo, to celebrate my recent retirement. For me, it was about a short time alone to just decompress. The cruise was everything I needed. And, I may consider cruising solo again. It was great to set my own pace. The room, with a balcony, B510, was ideally located. I could get to the DaVinci and Bottechelli easily enough. The Stewart, Estivan, was absolutely great. All the staff were actually. Not one negative comment. I was able to get a table alone for dinner each night and for those days I took lunch in the MDR, it was not a problem either. The Lotus spa folks were accommodating and welcoming. The casino, was a casino, but the staff made it a great experience? The variety of table games, and the dealers, were excellent. The bar service spot on, and the cage team were efficient and and friendly. I only took one excursion in Cabo, the Hotel California and Todos Santos tour. What an excellent time. It was what I was look for. A chance to see more than the resort; that is, get out into the countryside. Todos Santos is a delightful town. The tour guide and bus driver were exactly what they should be and they helped make it a delightful trip.
I also really appreciated how helpful the medallion medal is. What an excellent advance for all involved.
The only comment for improvement was the disembarkation in LA. I was a walk off and was to meet in one of the speciality dining rooms. We were delayed for some reason. There were staff walking around, but the communication as to what to expect would have been helpful. This is really minor, but the only thing I would have improved on this journey. Embarkation was a breeze.
I choose it as a quick way to celebrate my retirement before the Christmas holiday. Cabo was a beautiful city; plenty of port time, and great days at sea.
