We live in SF and this Mexican Riviera cruise sounded as a good idea, we decided to book it . We’ve done several times, loved it, hesitated only because of Covid. Ship Is beautiful and well kept. We had balcony, it let us have fresh air most of the time. Capacity was about 1700, instead of 3800. There was never crowded, EXEPT! Dining room. We were shocked to see it packed! You could hardly squeeze between tables. We dined there once, and both of us hated food anyway. Horizon Court was great option for us . Loved new style not touching anything except for small plates, which is a wonderful idea! Everything was delicious. If you don’t mind spending $29each, we highly recommend Crown Grill. Fantastic food and service, but you have to make reservation ahead of time, this place is very popular. Entertainment was so so. Explorer lounge has an OK BAND, read the planner if you like jazz, when the Princess Orchestra not in the Show, they play jazz , and they are very good! In Cabo, you can walk to the public beach, it is about 1.5 miles around Marina. It is a nice walk, but you can also get a boat to take you across another 5 minutes. In Mazatlan take cab to Golden zone resort La Flores (check the spelling) wonderful beach, $20 got us an umbrella and chairs. In Puerta Vallarta resorts across from the ship, but they won’t let you use chairs, you have to stay on public area of the beach. In Manzanilo take can to Miramar beach. Great beach too. All this info useful for independent travelers, those who like to go to the beach. One more thing, if you are Elite, they give uou complimentary bar, which is terry if you are drinker, if not, you can change it for coffee card. Call room service they will take care of this. you can have any kind of coffe free the whole cruise. In all we had terrific time, crew could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Recommendation for k95 masks were not enforced. Too bad, plain masks are worthless. When they ask weather we recommend this cruise, we can’t decide for anyone. We live through tough times, and of course, the thought of being among soo many people, is unnerving, but we were sick and tired of not being able to go anywhere, so when Princess started Cruises from SF, we didn’t think twice. We felt pretty comfortable during this cruise, spent a lot of time out in the air, avoiding big crowds, wearing k95 masks. Soooo happy all went well! Thank you Ruby Princess, hope to see you soon again!
