TITLE- Traveling with Unvaccinated on MSC Meraviglia out of Miami
1. Name of ship-MSC Meraviglia
2. Room # 12261
This is a family balcony room that is bigger because it has a bunk bed alcove with storage. This also gave us an extra wide balcony and deep balcony.
16. Bed=B not as good as Princess but they where fine.
17. Pillows= I am told you can request soft or hard but what we had worked fine.
18. Heating and air= had to have air rock bottom to stay comfortable and port days didn’t work as well.
19. Metal walls= Magnets will stick on pretty much all exterior walls, not insides, like closets, etc.
20. Bathroom- The bathroom is a typical small room, but the shower is maybe a little bigger, but it intrudes into the toilet area. I think the Divina did the same but the glass wall next was held by magnets so you could move it to create more space; Not so on the Meraviglia.
21. shower size= above average (see pics).
22. internet= Unknown since we did not use it.
23. Ship GPS= Ch 10 has some good tracking and other basic info, sure would have like to see what the swell size was as some days we had a lot of ship movement.
24. noise= Good for our cabin, but due to ship movement, the elevators (cables?) where banging, so if you are by the main shafts, you might hear them.
Parking was too far away and bus no picking up at our dock due to staff shortage
There are small shops you can buy souvenirs, also a couple of carts that carry around 30 people that will drop you off at Lighthouse beach (right next to port), the lagoon and Seakers Food Court. We snorkeled and saw some fish and was a good calm place for my 7 year old to first time snorkel, but honestly for myself, who’s snorkeled in several places like Aruba, this wouldn’t be worth the effort of dragging my stuff with me to do this. We got out to dry and left soon after as the blaring music was just too much. They have large speakers mounted ever 20 feet or so blaring a lot of foreign hip hop type music and was not enjoyable for us.
Would have been a 5 if not been for the blaring foreign music.
Not much to say as they are on strict lockdown and only allow you to go to the cruise town and we didn't do an excursion. They had several locations that took your temp and allowed you to check out the cruise town or take one of their excursions, but no wandering on the island due to their strict Covid restrictions here. We where able to buy water $1 and Pepsi $2 (found one place with almost expired Coke for $1 in the liquor store).
