This was our first cruise and we had no idea what to expect other than the research we had done on-line and the many reviews we read on Cruise Critic. (by the way...Greg Kneale says Hi ) I must say that everything exceeded our expectations.

We flew in from Wisconsin and caught the shuttle bus down to San Pedro, arriving about 2:00pm. Embarkation was a breeze because of the cabin grade. We were escorted into a separate room where our tickets were checked and we were issued our Sail and Sign cards. From there it was less than 10 min. and we were in our cabin.

The cabin was great. A wrap around suite on the empress deck. I picked a suite on the back of the ship so we could catch all the sunrises and sunsets as the ship primarily travels north or south.
