This cruise was to celebrate my sister's retirement. The benefits of booking a Haven suite are fantastic. I spoke with the concierge a few times before our cruise & was given accurate information & told of benefits I didn't know about. Our cruise was delayed by many hours because the cruise that arrived in the morning of the day we were leaving had COVID cases. NCL had to meet with the CDC to get approval to depart. We had a Haven Suite & when we arrived for COVID testing were able to move to the front of the outside line which was almost 2 blocks long or more. We were then shuttled to the cruise terminal where we had around a 5 hour wait. We got on the ship around 7:30 or 8. Our luggage was in our room & we proceeded to dinner in the Haven restaurant where we had the 1st of many excellent meals. Both the Haven bar & restaurant gave us awesome service throughout the cruise. The bartenders in the afternoon gave us a great show making drinks we'd never heard of & if you had a special drink they would make it to your specifications. My sister needed a w/c to get on & off the ship & it always arrived at our requested time. They even took her all the way to a taxi when we disembarked. Everyone remembered our names & smiled & greeted us every time we saw them. Downside: the evening entertainment was only fair. I now know that I prefer a smaller ship even though there were only around 2200 on the ship; it was just too big & noisy in public areas for me. NCL gave 2 of us(because the 3rd person was free) $200 to be used on board to compensate for the changes because of the delay leaving. We missed Costa Maya. Harvest Caye was the only NCL excursion we booked & it was cancelled because of high winds. We used the most of the $400 towards renting a cabana & had excellent service the entire day. The evening before we were arriving in Cozumel we found out that our time there was shortened by 2 hours with no explanation. We'd booked a tour that was 4.5hours & knew we wouldn't have time; but, our taxi driver was able to contact the company & let them know of the change. The tour guide worked with us to redesign the tour so we were back on the ship in time & had a fantastic day. We had dinner in Moderna & Teppanyaki & each was excellent. We had a late afternoon dinner at O'Sheehan's & it was not up to par with on other NCL ships we have been on. Don't miss the Macarons in the Bake Shop.

Cabin Review

This Haven suite was fantastic. We had excellent views from the living area & the large bathroom. The balcony was very large; we enjoyed relaxing out there with a book, drinks or snacks. Our steward, Emmanuel & butler, Will were awesome. They explained what they could do for us & gave us phone numbers to call them. The room was always immaculate. Only downside is the 2nd bathroom's(which was nice to have for 3 of us) ventilation was horrible & made it difficult to dry skin after a shower unless the door was left open during the shower. I would stay in this room again & highly recommend it. The main bathroom shower was amazing. I took some very long showers because I hated to get out.
