We are long time Princess fans and this was our first cruise in two years. As only the second sailing of Carib, we were not sure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised! It was almost as we remember with the exception of face masks which were almost universally worn by both crew and pax. We did not think the food was quite up to our recollection, but it was fine as we are not foodies. The ship was a little less than 50% capacity which made the experience even more enjoyable as there were no lines or crowds anywhere. There were still two shows which made for very spacious seating. We felt very comfortable during the entire cruise (we are both 78 so are concerned about covid). The crew was amazing and clearly delighted to have the return of passengers. We are ballroom dancers and had lots of musical opportunities. The ships band played a couple of ballroom sets and were the best we have ever heard. Tempo, rhythm were perfect. They used wheelhouse and explorers but sadly not fusion which has a very large floor. In fact fusion was rarely used for anything. The shows were very good, clearly the cast needs some practice and experience but still a good performance. All in all we were very happy and are looking forward to our next cruise in January.
a window suite is to die for! We have had it before and booked it for next year as well. A little know secret on Carib and perhaps 1 or 2 other ships. They were added long after the ship was built. On deck 6 they have two hugh windows overlooking the sea. (No balcony) Absolutely loved it. Can't wait to sail again. Comes with all full suite amenities and is much much cheaper than a balcony suite.
