We just came back from the cruise Barbados-to-Barbados (Dec. 12 -Dec 19). We chose this cruise mainly because we don't like crowds wandering along narrow streets of small towns. The cruise itinerary looked very exciting. This was possibly a wonderful trip for the people who wanted just to eat, drink, and socialize. As promised it was 'consistently top-notch cuisine and service. The Chef is fantastic and the crew did their best to provide an extremely companionable service. We have very warm memories of our waiter Tristan who often helped to combat our bad mood with a touch of humor.

However coming back to itinerary we had two and a half days of activities from promised six-day adventures. The cruise director and activity manager were absolutely unprepared for operations under the Covid restrictions. Soon after we boarded the yacht we were informed that our snorkel excursion to St, Lucia's Marine Park (pre-paid 3 months in advance) was cancelled because of a public holiday :). Instead they offered us a swimming from the sports platform holding the rope for safety. The sea was indeed very rough. Our expectations were that the yacht could find a quite bay but who cares. There were separate activities with sport toys but we never heard of a Sunfish sail boat mentioned on the SeaDream Web. We did not realized significance of this event -- they never opened this sports platform again.

The afternoon stay in Soufriere, St. Lucia was cancelled (don't remember the reason) with no substitute for the planned activities.
