We originally booked this cruise for the inaugural cruise almost 2 years ago. The itinerary was changed by RCCL because of Covid, no fault of the cruise line. The ship is new, this was their third cruise for this ship so everything was clean and modern. However since this was a newly assembled crew there was quite a bit of confusion as they gather their sea legs on this new ship. Embarkation was confusing and long. Royal Caribbean did not control the capacity very much as this ship had almost 90% of passenger capacity sailing. It was crowded and very few passengers distanced themselves from each other. There was little regard to the 6 passenger maximum on the elevators. We got off the elevator several times and walked when people poured into the elevator.
Our cabin was spacious and clean. Our attendant Ferdinand was professional and attentive. Food was hit or miss. We had a few dinners that missed its mark but several that were amazing and impressive. Our dining team was awesome, Manny, Chester, and Germeny were the best. We are Diamond Plus and they were among the best dining team I have had in my 20 some cruises. My one complaint about meals was lunch time meals were so-so and breakfast was frustrating. We ate 3 breakfast in the main dining room which was good but the hours were limited. Their hours ended at 9AM so you are either forced to get up early or go to the Windjammer, which we did. Food in Windjammer was so-so but adequate. It was so crowded that finding seats both times was frustrating. If you are a breakfast person you will be disappointed. We ate in the Solarium Bistro and Loco Cantina which were good.
The entertainment was so-so. The Impressionist/magician was very good. The "Stomp " show was also good. COVID certainly has impacted things.
Cabin was very nice except right under Windjammer and pool deck so occasionally noisy on our balcony.
Coco Cay Beach Club was awesome
Great shopping and steel drum band in the park. Decorated nicely for Christmas
