First time on the Anthem and my first time on this class of ships, but definitely not my last. I enjoyed every aspect of this cruise and it exemplified the reasons behind loving Royal Caribbean as a whole.
First, the food! It was outstanding in every single venue where I ate. Because I was traveling solo, I ate in different dining rooms with different groups of solos, so I had a chance to see a variety of servers and waitstaff. The food in the main dining room was wonderful. Never had any issues there with the preparation and with getting my meals prepared with lower sodium. I also ate in the Windjammer for a couple of meals, plus bought a three-night dining package which I used at Chops Grille, Jaime's Italian, and Wonderland. This was my first time eating at both Jaime's and Wonderland. I had not been on a ship with either venue, and both were well worth waiting for.
I did not visit Izumi, but that is a delicious venue as well, just didn't feel like sushi on this cruise. Chops was its usual deliciousness and I took a new friend who I had met on the ship. It was her first time at Chops and she really enjoyed the ribeye that she had. We shared the ribeye and the spicy jumbo shrimp entree that I got. The shrimp was good, but the ribeye was better.
Walked around and found a great spa called Baha Retreat and had a wonderful aromatherapy massage and a spa pedicure. I then walked around Nassau and picked up a few souvenirs, some ice cream and rum cakes.
I love this newly revamped island and what has been done to it. They have the best food, best servers, amazing freshwater pool, nice waterpark, great beach club with delicious food, and a nice private beach. Nice cabanas. Cococay is an amazing place to visit. You could almost spend an entire cruise here because it is so very relaxing.
