The Silver Whisper is advertised as an upscale ship. I guess it depends on what you are looking for on your cruise. Our voyage in the Caribbean was a great disappointment in many respects. The ship itself it's very nice but not great. . The best thing about the Whisper is the crew. They are outstanding in every way.

Drinks are free and that's great. On the other hand, the food was consistently "hit or miss". An example is when I ordered steak for dinner the first evening it was delicious. The next evening I ordered the same steak and it was like shoe leather. Meal items were consistently over or under cooked.

The Wi-Fi service was "horrible". While, sometime, I could receive and send emails, it was impossible to download anything. Trying to get information from a website was almost hopeless. When I complain to the front desk the response was basically, sorry, that's the way it is. Read more
