This was my first time cruising with Carnival after 2 other cruises with Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. I had always heard Carnival was not as good and food was bad......SO NOT TRUE!! Had a great time with Carnival and would not hesitate to book again. Valor was great mid sized ship. Food was delicious, and service was top notch. We had stateroom 1339. Cabin steward Mil was fantastic. Dinner service team was great . Cruise director Marty was enthusiastic and motivating. There was always something fun to do. There is a band on this ship called Tio Phil Rock and they are AMAZING!!! They are great talentened musicians, someone give them a recording contract! Enjoyed them better than the valor theater performers by far. Best theater show we saw was the special holiday show. Comedy shows I can only recommend the rated " PG" shows as they were both funny... went to one of the rated "R" shows and is was raunchy and not funny at all.

Christmas caroling on lido deck and Trivia contests and karaoke were all fun and enjoyable. Dinner servers were fast, personable and fantastic at thier jobs. We were served by Ni Putu, Dewa, and Ghosh and dinner was a blast and delicious. As a vegeterian they always had at least one dinner option for me sometimes two. Everything was fabulous and tasty that I tried. Loved blue iguana, ice cream station and buffet selection as well -yummy!! I highly recommend this cruise especially for the price point- great deal!

Cabin Review

Clean, comfy, spacious well laid out. Mattress was soft. Water was hot.

Port Reviews

Shopping is fun here. It rained the day we were here so that put a damper on things.

Did excursion but not through Carnival. Weather wasn't the best. Recommended the cenotes and the beach
