Used up a cruise credit from 2019 that RCCL would not extend, even though they canceled 2 I had booked. Even though I had a frustrating experience with them pre cruise. I was looking forward to this cruise. The crowding and waiting started at the airport as I had to wait 45 minutes for their shuttle, causing me to arrive at the port at 2 pm to absolute chaos. Luggage everywhere and a lineup that took me an hour to get thru to check in. After checking my documents 2x in line they hand you a white ribbon but don’t explain what it’s for. You must wear it at all times to prove your vaccinated. Then when you get on board they sent me to check in at the muster station even before I got to my cabin to watch the safety video. The ship always felt crowded even though it’s half full. The shore excursions were changed or canceled so many times pre cruise due to itinerary changes etc. I only ended up on one. Food and service in the main dining room excellent as was park cafe and the solarium. The Central Park balcony was loud day and night. Overall the ship is clean, they give a free pre departure pcr test on the last day to international passengers. RCCL customer service will tell you before the cruise it’s $99.

Get your deck chairs before 8 am or not at all as they have removed so many for social distance.

Cabin Review

Interior

Central Park balcony was clean, but if you open the balcony door it’s very loud day and night and you can see into everyone’s cabin.

Port Reviews

Perfect Day at CocoCay

Good beach but water is really cold. Note wear water shoes as it rocky getting in the water. There are lots of beach chairs and umbrellas

San Juan

Sad how distressed the old town buildings and roads are. Many of the shops and restaurants were closed so shopping is limited. Lots of t shirts and trinkets shops

St. Maarten

Tour around the island canceled due to general strike and unrest on French side. Got a beach chair and umbrella for $10. Great Bay water is clean and deep. Many shops closed and or still undergoing repairs. Not the shopping Mecca it once was.

St. Thomas

Went on secret sands beach excursion. They pack you in on open air buses. Beach is pretty, they provide drinks. You stay 2.5 hours.

Town like st Martin and San Juan had many shops closed, and the ones open were expensive compared to the other islands
