This was a 7N E Caribbean cruise and I’ll mainly focus on the ship and that experience with a bit on the ports. So you know my ‘biases’, I’ve cruised 40 times, and 26 of those on a Celebrity ship, so I focus on Celebrity itineraries unless it’s a special itinerary or joining friends/party group. I’ve cruised on Edge prior (a Caribbean B2B) and Love the E-Class ships which Apex is the 2nd one of.
With that said:
Ports: Our cruise ports were San Juan, St Thomas and St Kitts. The cruise was over Thanksgiving, and there were 1,600+ onboard and about 150 kids. Never saw the kids much - they were in a kids club and seemed to love it. Some of the port tours were cancelled, but there were enough for all. We did a quick bus tour our San Juan but it was pretty limited on where it went, but OK; didn’t get off at St Thomas (was set for a to St Johns tour but that was canceled) and St Kitts required ship or approved local tours, no on-your-own, so we did the History and Rum tour - excellent tour. Good history info and great local rums.
We had a Concierge Infinite SR and loved it. Some don’t enjoy they design because the balcony isn’t as open. But for us, the design with a full ‘window’ that top half drops down, opens the entire SR up and gives much more room. Our Bed was next the BR, with a sleeper coach our adult daughter used. Opened up in the evening by the steward and very comfortable. Being on deck 11, there was more movement, but we all did OK. Outstanding service. The steward can’t be in the room with you because of COVID requirements, but all worked just fine. He took great care of us.
