We specifically chose the dates of this cruise on the week of my husband’s birthday make it even more special, but didn't quite turn out that way.

The itinerary, the program director and the people we met on the cruise, is why I even rated this a 3 instead of 2. We love the places/ports we've been to, but sadly can't say that much about the food and the services we got at the restaurant.

The food is a hit or miss, most of the soups are good but some of the entree are pretty bland - I can actually cook pasta better than what I had. The escargot (which we were very excited to have) is underwhelming, the regular coffee from the restaurant is undrinkable - some of the rest stops in the US had better coffee. We can't believe that the coffee we got from the machine is a much better than what we got from the restaurant. The service is below par, sometimes you can even see eye rolling at times when you ask for something from them, or if you wanted to clarify something they've said, even requesting a non-alcoholic drink seems to be too much of a burden to them.
