We were a little hesitant about getting aboard a cruise ship again. The crew and staff of Azamara were excellent, we very quickly realised that we were safer on this ship than being at home. The testing at embarkation was swift and very well organised and we were soon given the clearance to board the ship. A small group of us were shown the emergency drill, then onward to our cabin. The entertainment, food and service has been excellent, the resident singers and dancers have done a fantastic job. Despite a reduced number of passengers, there has been a great choice of excellent quality food with service to match. You would not know that this cruise line is under different ownership, it’s still the high level cruise experience. The passenger safety is first class, temperature checks daily and covid tests at certain countries, these are a minor inconvenience and take very little time. We feel fortunate that we are staying on for the next nine day cruise to Lisbon.
