This was my second Royal cruise. It was 8 day Southern Caribbean on the Odyssey of the Seas. I booked this last minute and went solo for the first time.

I chose this cruise for 2 reasons. I wanted to go on the Odyssey as it would be my first Quantum class and though I haven't been on an Oasis yet I do have 2 booked for next year. I also wanted to go the Aruba and Curacao.

Because of timing of the booking and going solo I chose to roll the dice and fly out the morning of the cruise. It made me a little nervous but I was on the first direct flight of the day so I wasn't overly worried. I booked my covid test thru CVS for first thing on the Thursday before leaving. They did cancel on me and left me scrambling to find one at the last minute. Luckily I found another CVS a little further away that had an available appointment.
