Very nice ship with an outstanding crew. Our trip was enjoyable but lacked much of what Crystal promoted about this new expedition ship. There were no helicopters, no submersible, underwater cameras were not in use and they were only experimenting with the gimbal camera. Almost all that the ship offered in terms of stops could have been completed on their larger ships at a much lower cost. Our expedition activity consisted of several zodiac and kayak rides along the shore while in small Iceland ports. These activities were not offered outside of Iceland.

The restaurants were good but subpar to the Symphony and Serenity. Umi Uma was an enjoyable restaurant and the chefs were very very creative but the master chef does not attach his name to this restaurant as is done on the other Crystal ships.

There were many contractors on board to complete the preparation of the ship. In fact when the 100 guests disembarked in Lisbon some 100 contractors boarded for a crew and contractor only sail to Miami to continue the repair of the ship. Individual expedition people were a pleasure to have conversation but the shore activities were poorly planned. So disappointing to spend premium dollars on a cruise that failed to offer what Crystal promoted. Do not know how others can give such great reviews on earlier cruises. The initial cruises in Iceland had more non functioning parts on the ship.

Cabin Review

Penthouse Suite

Cabins very nice. The light switch system is too complicated and was never really understood. Crew for our cabin were outstanding as were all crew members.
