We chose this cruise because it was a nine day, sailed from Galveston, and we had never been on this ship. We have sailed on 25 cruises with four cruise lines. This cruise was special because we have not been able to do much since March 2020. The embarkation, disembarkation and muster drill were AWESOME. Appointments for embarkation made it less stressful and very organized. Disembarkation was a breeze. Muster drill completed by watching videos and a simple "walk by" to muster station is the only way to do it! The protocols were followed by crew and staff with no complaining by cruisers. Mask while in transit a big pain but if we must do it in order to cruise then we will not complain. The food was typical. Entertainment a 2. Grease was enjoyable and done well but the other "limited" entertainment was at best a 2. Majority of cruisers 50+, reduced capacity was great, very quiet cruise. Bingo overpriced and boring. The Champagne Bar was the best bar on the ship. The service by all crew was fantastic. The crew members were as excited to be cruising as we were. Can't wait to next our next RC cruise in January.
Typical cabin with larger balcony that we were able to have opened to our friends balcony making it easy to play games.
Do not bother to get off the ship unless you have a special excursion. Construction, dirty, and few stores open. No taxis.
With reduced capacity and the only ship....It was AWESOME. No fighting for a chair with umbrella, food fantastic, water very enjoyable. The additional water parks, ziplining and such are just too expensive for most. But, for those who don't mind spending the cash it is great.
