Took the week on the Koningsdam as a quick getaway for hubby & I- needed the sea air again ...Koningsdam is a beautiful ship- aft verandah cabin was roomy, great service by Robby & Arya. First night in MDR was a bit painful- most diners were challenged using their smart phones to scan the code to read the menus...the waitstaff were a bit frazzled as well- took over 2 hours for dinner without dessert but what they lacked in skill was made up for in their exuberance. Our hostess Genesis & the Lido Bartender Alvin were outstanding as was Lourdes in the buffet.

Entertainment was fair, needed a bit more variety, a bit too many song & dance shows for our taste. Pinnacle Grille dinner was a comp as we booked through Costco- appetizers were great- my ribeye was a bit too thin so not as tender as my husband's tenderloin but service was excellent.

We have been to all of the ports in the past- Port of Alavon very quaint, San Francisco- did a tour of Sausalito through HAL - nice day there- Ensanada eh just fair, did the Old Town Trolley in San Diego- definitely recommend that one
