After some negative reviews, I wanted to share our experience on The American Duchess. We took an eight day cruise in Tennessee. It was the perfect way to get back to traveling. Everyone was vaccinated for Covid and was tested the evening before we embarked. It is an older crowd and therefore, we met some fascinating and well traveled passengers. The food and drinks were wonderful, with a vast selection of both. Buffets were served by the staff, so no self serve, which I appreciated. The entertainment was fun and even though it was the same entertainers every night, they did a great job of keeping it fresh each performance. It gets very quiet after 10:00. If you like to party late, this isn’t for you! The staff was very friendly and hard working.

We had an inside cabin, which was adequate for us. The bathroom was spacious, although the cabin lacked storage.

The scenery along the Tennessee, Ohio and Mississippi Rivers was beautiful!
