I had no idea that capacity was limited to 55%, but how wonderful! There was plenty of room in the casino, by the pool, at the buffet....
It was a bit annoying to have to wear masks while traveling throughout the ship since all of us were vaccinated and had taken a covid test within two days of embarkation, but at least we were in the safest place possible in the world - on a cruise! Gotta love the irony after the travails of cruisers at the beginning of covid.
I was concerned that having only three stops might make this cruise tedious, but we really enjoyed the ports and the days at sea. I'm sure that having so much space per passenger helped make our ship time more enjoyable.
We very much enjoyed having a mini suite on this trip. And though Princess booking staff did not realize this, connecting cabins DO have connecting doors between cabins. If my mother and I both had our doors open, we could walk in and check on the other's activities. This made it very easy to coordinate breakfast in the dining room, etc. We had our privacy when we needed it, and we had a shared cabin the rest of the time. And having two connected cabins with two bathrooms came in very handy sometimes.
Enjoyed seeing sea lions and turtles on our way to our snorkeling site. Though the water had been disturbed by Hurricane Pamela. we still saw a diverse variety of fish.
Isla de Piedras, (Stone Island), was a beautiful boogie boarding site with gentle waves coming into shore on a slowly deepening ocean shelf. It would be perfect for toddlers to grandmothers. Lots of fun riding on an inflatable pink flamingo beach toy,
Great shopping right off the boat at the Mercado de Artesanios. Even better shopping in the Romantic zone, just a short taxi ride away. Get off the Malecon and head uphill a couple of streets to get away from the tourist pricing.
