This is my first cruise ever, so I did an Upper Danube river cruise from Regensberg to Budapest. The staff were very Friendly. Each stop had Interesting trips and the opportunity to something active if you wanted to. The food was Great and it was quite varied. There were some extra things thrown in, such as a couple of culture events/shows. The great thing is that everything needed was included. The food, wine or soft drinks with meals, tea and coffee, daily trips. I am Planning to do a french river cruise and the MeKong river cruise in the future. I like the river cruise because you see the countryside passing by between stops (unless it’s at night). But you have a different place to see each day. Your “hotel” takes you your different destinations and you don’t have to pack and unpack each day. The only regret is that 7/8 days is not enough time to see everything. But intend to go back to Vienna and Budapest another time.
