Nicely redone

Boarded the Summit to applause — wasn’t sure what we did to deserve it, but I (big smile) applauded the Summit crew. So happy to be back cruising. We have almost 30 sailings, most with Celebrity but have also experienced Carnival, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Disney and Oceania.

Our cabin was a midship balcony on 7th floor. There was little movement - a nice starboard location. The ship was mostly redone and the cabin was new, done in a light modern grey way. The bathroom was very efficient with shower wand (very appreciated) and a sunken sink (very functional) rather than the one that sits on the counter as in solstice class. We found room for everything. We were cared for well by our steward. We had Elite benefits loaded onto our sail card including laundry and happy hour drinks.

What a great surprise to find Sue Denning was our Cruise Director. She & Kristine and her team brought a lot of energy and fun. The performers were fantastic. We enjoyed (oh yes, I should mention I was traveling with my musician husband) especially the comedian AJ Jamal, the jazz quartet, the showband, house band Indigo, singer Olivia White, Brazilian guitarist Thiago Balera — loved the Motown show and Soundtrack show the best — but all the theater shows were fun — a fine group of dancers & singers. There was silent disco and games with the officers — a great bunch of friendly engaged officers & crew as I have ever sailed with. There were casino tournaments and activities too many to list.
