Cabin: Aqua Class

First cruise back since January 2020. Only 705 passengers. We splurged and tried Aqua class for the first time and LOVED Blu. The crew was outstanding and everyone was always smiling and greeting you. They were happy to be back at work and we were their happy guests. All the food on Oceanview is plated by the servers. I saw zero instances of anyone attempting self-serve. We particularly liked their Indian selection, and the cheese station. We ate breakfast and dinner in Blu. Wonderful team and we had a great time. I would say the food and preparation along with presentation was excellent. We had the best filet steaks in Blu…better than Tuscan. Desserts were OK but we were full by that time most evenings. With only 50% of the Aqua cabins sold we never waited to be seated and often had a window. Protocols for COVID prevented any table sharing in any venue unless your reservations were linked prior to disembarkation. The ship was spotless. We tried Tuscan again after a couple of prior disappointments on other ships and they hit a home run on this occasion. The staff were friendly and happy to get you whatever you wanted. Entertainment was some of the best singing and dancing productions we have seen in years, and many other cruisers we spoke with said the same. Stateroom attendant Jhayson was fantastic. Room was perfectly maintained and he always was asking if we needed anything. Most all of the crew were finishing their contracts by November so it will largely be a new crew but I believe they will be also thrilled to be back and ready to go. Many of the crew we spoke with were long time Celebrity staff. One of our waiters in Blu, Jorge has been with the company almost 20 years. If you have any hesitancy about cruising now, please book a cruise while they sail with 30-50% occupancy because it is like a private luxury cruise! The COVID testing before embarking was a simple monitored rapid test through NAVICA/eMed. The entire test takes about 20 minutes and we never waited for a test navigator more than 30 seconds. Definitely easier than trying to find a Walgreens or CVS and with the $25/test in our opinion odor the convenience of it all. Happy cruising!!

Cabin Review

Aqua Class

Cabin and ship was “Revolutionized” a few years back so very fresh. Like the clean look. Plenty of storage.
