What an amazing cruise! The Navigator of the Seas and most of its staff were wonderful.
We started our cruise with one night in Rome. We used a private transfer to get to the ship. From what I've heard, it's not easy to get from the train station to the port if you don't travel light. Upon arriving at the port, we were greeted with a letter from Royal Caribbean that the previous cruise had an outbreak of Norovirus. It said that we had any symptoms, we should consider rescheduling our cruise vacation. I can't help but wonder who actually got all the way to Italy and then decided to rebook? The usual hand sanitizers were in outside the ship as well as in Windjammer and the main dining room. Fortunately, we avoided getting sick as we normally do. We tend to not touch our faces after touching public places. Embarkation was not as smooth as Miami, San Juan or Fort Lauderdale.
Our stateroom was great! We had a junior suite so we enjoyed the walk-in closet as well as the tub and shower in the bathroom. We were on the hump which made for a nice view. We opted for port side which was a disappointment as we only got to see two cities as we arrived. I will say that our stateroom had a couple of hygiene issues that weren't addressed very well. However, our stateroom attendant was very pleasant.
