Sail Date: Oct 2021
Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

This was my first cruise since the pandemic began and I was eager to get on a ship. Selecting a cruise that departed out of Los Angeles (home), and rather brief, seemed a no-brainer. In my opinion, Princess went to great lengths to insure the health and safety of guests and crew alike. Requirements included proof of vaccination, a Covid test within 48 hours of sailing, and wearing a face mask in public areas of the ship.

As the title of this review indicates the crew is what made this an outstanding cruise experience. Princess team members worked at making guests feel welcomed. From the greeting guests received when boarding Grand Princess, to the attention given diners in restaurants, on through to the many times guest were acknowledged throughout areas of the ship, employees made guests feel appreciated.

A major surprise was just how few guests were onboard this sailing. I heard someone say the ship only had 40% of capacity. There was never a problem getting seated in a dining area, securing a poolside chase, or seated in the Princess Theater.
