We chose the Celebrity Edge to fit the time. This was only our 3rd cruise (2009 Carnival Legend & 2014 Celebrity Reflection.) We knew Celebrity would be fantastic and loved the videos of Edge we saw on YouTube.

The reality was far better than the hype. The ship is stunningly beautiful and has a number of new features that suited us well.

Our Room: We booked an Infinite Veranda, which is their innovation on a balcony, on the 7th floor midship (#7171) away from the elevators and crew stairway. The seaward wall is all glass. You can lower the top 1/2 to make it like a balcony or just to have some sea sounds and air as you take in the view, bringing the sea right to your room. (With a standard balcony you’ve got another door so the sea view is more distant. ) The major advantage is that is makes your room bigger for all the time you aren’t using a balcony. There are bifold doors that you close which make that space feel very much like a balcony. We’d be happy either way but did like the Infinite Veranda. Beyond that feature, the room was beautiful, comfortable and the bathroom & shower were super nice. Our room attendant, Tetiana, was superb and very personable.
