The AmaDouro was a beautiful small ship. We really liked that it was small and intimate. The staff and crew were some of the best we have experienced. The cruise manager Pau was an example of what a cruise manager should be. He was very personal and organized and he went to lengths to help the passengers comply with the many confusing Covid requirements. The tours were very interesting and the guides were wonderful. The food was great and the menu had a very good variety to chose from. The ship only holds 102 people, but we had only 49 because of peoples fears of Covid. We felt very safe and were in good hands.
The wines were good and the Port was a good variety of all types. We especially like happy hour which takes place one hour before dinner.
The Douro river was very beautiful and I would highly recommend this cruise and especially Ama Waterways.
The cabin was small but had a lot of storage space. The one thing I did not like was the only outlet to use the hair dryer was over the bed and not in the bathroom, very awkward. The closet was roomy and the lighting was great. The balcony was very small because the size of the ship.
