Sail Date: Sep 2021
Cabin: Crown Loft Suite with Balcony

I had a cruise scheduled for November and decided I couldn't wait until then to cruise and booked this one since it would fall on my birthday. It was originally supposed to stop at Labadee and Jamaica, but instead it was changed to Costa Maya, Cozumel and Coco Cay. After a long time of not cruising, it didn't matter. I just wanted to be on a ship on the ocean.

I travel solo and decided to treat myself with a loft suite. In addition to the larger cabin, the coastal kitchen and concierge lounge were also included. More on those below.

I decided to buy the E-Med tests for self testing (with a proctor from E-Med). It was super simple. With a Sunday sail date I called in at 5am on Friday morning and completed the process, including receipt of the negative test results, within 20 minutes.

Cabin Review

Crown Loft Suite with Balcony

The crown loft suite was wonderful. Plenty of space to store a week's worth of clothes for up to 4 people. There are two bathrooms and it felt like a small apartment having a separate living area from the bed upstairs. The down side is the stair lighting. It does not go off and keeps the room in a state of twilight through the night. I had tried to cover the lights with towels, but they were so bright it was difficult to cover.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

Nothing to do in port unless an excursion is booked. I didn't use the pool nor did I see a lot of people in it. It could have been the color of the paint but the water appeared cloudy to me.

Cozumel

Not all of the stores were open and the stores that were open were begging for business.

Perfect Day at CocoCay

Coco Cay Beach Club is the way to go. I can't say anything negative.
