I chose Norveign cruise line chose because it appeared to look like fun. Where do I start. To make a long story short. This cruise that I just took was a make -up cruise, pre-Covid. When Covid first appeared on the seen my Norweign cruise salesperson (David), was trying to convince me that Covid was not as bad as the news was making it out to be, I said to him, Bro, are you not watching the news. Fast Forward Sep.26 @ 11:30 am, my wife and I are approaching the ship somewhat excited. The guy take our luggage and we are on our way to 7 days of relaxation. NOT....after having our luggage commandeered we are approached by this RUDE guy telling us we need a PCR test. I adamantly tried to tell this guy that I am fully electronically checked in, if I needed another test they would had told me prior to me reaching the ship. This guy continued to tell me that I could not get on the ship until I had proof, I was negative from the PCR test. This nice longshoreman told me to just get into a cab and go to this address and try and get the PCR test before the boat leave, because he had seen over 50 ppl trying to argue the same point. So, I took his advice. Upon arriving at this PCR location, I noticed that this was a POP-UP setup by somebody to take advantage of the Norweign customers misfortune. The price $99/each, my wife and I $198. The time 4:30pm past boat departure So we get our results and catch a cab to the boat. Thank God it was still there. Now, we got our negative results and I'm told we have to pay $75/each to Bermuda to be allowed in. Before I get on a fully paid Cruise ship, I had to pay ...cab fare $30, PCR test $198, Bermuda admission $150 ....Total $378 before starting the cruise. Also, prior to the cruise I upgrade $100/each = $200 for a balcony, only to be told that any promotion, such as the free Wi-Fi and 1 excursion that I was offered was lost because I pai d$200 for an upgrade, so basically, I got punished for upgrading. Not one time did I hear an apology from anybody from Norwiegn. I will never use this cruise line again, nor will I allow anybody I know to use Norweign. That was the short version and I am going to yell this wherever I can. I believe they banked on ppl forgetting, NOT I.
