My wife and I selected this cruise for the price and to return to cruising even with COVID. We completed COVID testing at a CVS. Receiving our negative test, a sigh of relief...lets go cruising. Our cabin was on Lido Deck, interior. Boarding was very quick (from start to sitting waiting to board) was about 15 minutes. There were many protocols in place but none that affected our cruise. We took disposable masks for easier breathing. The ship was very clean, a joy to see. Our Anytime Dinning was excellent. The overall food selection was somewhat limited (comparing to past cruises) but the food was excellent. The service was top notch. This cruise was about 60% full. The Hub App was easy to use (after the first day). Make sure that you are logged-in. We are in our 70's and always liked paper menu's. But the app is quicker. For dinner you need to click on the button from the app to have a table assigned. In our case the button turned blue about 3 to 5 minutes before the dinner opened (5:30pm ship time). The same goes for breakfast if you plan on eating in the formal dinners. The app displays events for the day. Select the ones you want to be notified before they start. The app will notify you as their time approaches. The cruise director was Gary and all we can say is he was very good. Very nice, professional and always with a genuine smile. Being Hispanic there was very, if at all, any music to liven up the day. Music from the oldies was boring and old. Captains night was very simple and few people came. Movies, football games were shown on the theater screen on lido deck. Plenty of seats available. Marketplace on lido deck was always clean. The food options was somewhat limited but the food was excellent. The buffet you selected the food you wanted. The desserts were mostly cakes (had sugar free) and you asked to be served. Guys Burger, Anchor & Pig were very good. For beer lovers there was a machine that you served yourself (40 cents an ounce). There was food practically 24/7. The Deli closed at 11pm. This cruise went to Dominican Republic (Amber Cove). Very nice. We also went to Bimini in Bahamas. The small island was very clean, beaches clean and crystal clear beach water. A Tram (free) takes you to the beach. Debarkation was quick, organized. No more standing in line for a US customs agent to review your documents. If you have over $800 to declare then you need to fill out a form. Personnel take an image scan of your face and away you go to pick up your luggage. Literally the whole process takes 10 minutes.

Overall, we gave this cruise a 10 of 10. The Magic has returned to Carnival Magic. This was our 21st cruise so we can compare. Since COVID will be around for awhile, Carnival has provided a great way to enjoy cruising again during these times. Looking for the next cruise.

Cabin Review

Interior

Interiors are not very large but this one was very clean. Bathroom was clean. They do your room once a day (morning or evening). Our cabin steward was always available. Changed our towels when we asked. Overall excellent.
