This was our was our first-time cruise on a MSC ship and I will say it was different from Royal or Carnival ships, but at the same time was relaxing.

The one main difference was in the stage shows. On the Divina at least do not expect to see changing sets or really any sets at all except for beautiful lighted steps. The three main singers were very, very talented, but sadly in shows, I felt were poorly put together. And be wary of the daily activity blurbs telling you about the shows. Simply the Best, which from the write-up seemed like it would tell the life story of Tina Turner, consisted of her songs, but no plot or story of her life…many of her songs sung by the male singers (and they did a good job). We expected at least in the finale we would see the classic Tina Turner look for the girl and a re-creation of the Ikettes behind her, but they didn’t hit the mark. From the description of Autumn in Paris, we expected a beautiful show with a Parisian flair. The Opening costume for the female singer was gorgeous and the show ended with some truly great can-can dancing and a cool special effect number. In between there was number about Havana! and a specialty act or two.! No autumn and very little French. Then the other show Extreme had energy and it’s main attraction were the various variety acts (all very entertaining) as the centerpiece and they were a quite thrilling, unique idea. None of the shows disappointed but done blew us away.
