My wife & i just got back from a 7 day Alaska cruise on Majestic Princess. We have cruised with Princess a few times & we find there style to be a good fit for us. Our last cruise was Dec. of 2019, so you know we were ready & waiting to get on board. The crew cheered everyone as they boarded & I'm sure they were genuinely glad to be back at sea after a hiatus of around 17 months or so. It turned out that this cruise was only running at about 60%-65% capacity which was a nice little surprise for us & might have accounted in part for the excellent service we received during the whole term of the cruise. Eating in the dining room was like being in a 5 star restaurant, with waiters attending to our every need. & in the buffet, you barely sat down before someone was at your elbow to ask if you would like a drink, & all super friendly with it.

Unfortunately, the entertainment was a different story... No Karaoke. No 'Voice of the Ocean'. Same comedian with same act that we saw on our last Princess cruise...18months ago! Don't they realize that their guests go on other Princess cruises? Shows in the main theater that last for less than 40 minutes! They need to go on a Norwegian cruise & pick up some points.

We still give it 4 stars because the service was sooo good & the food was good and...well..we were just so happy to be back cruising.
