Embarkation went smoothly, Senior Officers at the gangway as we boarded, all very welcoming. Found our cabin very easily, well appointed single bed layout, plenty of storage, safe n wardrobes. Settee dresser and chair, tea n coffee making. Slept like a log throughout. Yani our chambermaid introduced herself and looked after ourselves very well. First stop, pool bar, where Julius greeted us and gave great service whichever bar he was working, Crows Nest/Observatory a favourite listening to Ophelia vocalist with Funky blue. Designated 2nd sitting in Aurora deck 5, table 77 Aft / stern picture window. Looked after by Sam and assistant Mark who did a great job. The pool roof was partially open at the beginning of the cruise but then opened fully. once again the bar staff were very attentive including Winston, Rakesh and Rika. Our favourite bar would be Crows Nest, which we closed at 2.00 am almost all of the 15 nights. Food was fantastic, throughout the ship, special mention for Head Chef in Colours n Tastes who came out to speak to us. Put on a1/2 a stone, so now on a diet. Entertainment excellent and Theatre team in the show lounge were amazing in a great setting. The Captain made daily visits throughout the ship and has a fantastic Ships Company who all seem happy in there work. It is easy to see why so many repeat cruisers choose Fred Olsen. Weather was good on the whole and ports of call were easy to get to. The covid protocols excellent but not intrusive. Good to see the Captain at the gangway saying goodbye to everyone.
