We had THE best cruise on the Meraviglia.
We have done 60 cruises and my husband loves the Divina but I wanted to try the new ship, despite not liking BIG ships. Embarcation was a breeze. First of all we were in an inside cabin. Hubby like the dark and quiet. It was plenty roomy enough and actually was bigger than some other cabins we have been on. The food was better than ever. The first night the lamb in the Oro dining room was some of the best I have ever had. The spa was small and dark but quiet and beautiful. The magician was one of the best I have ever seen. All the crew were happy to be working. The promenade ceiling light show was beautiful and available 3 times a night. The Bone Marrow in Butcher's Cut was fantastic.
Dining staff particularly Marian Epure and Sibu were fast and attentive and marked our anniversary with music and cake..and they even sang on key and had a guitar! It moved us to tears. Their selection of non-alcohol wines was not sufficient. Wish they had some St. Regis, Or Carl Weiss and some white zinfandel. The chocolate shop would knock your socks off, but my favorite was the gelato shop. We will sail her again, I am sure. OH, and we were able to pay $35 and get our antigen tests for our next cruise. Toured the ship and took lots of pictures. Casino was generous. I was surprised. Nice basketball court and children's facilities. As usual the Italian design of the ship is beautiful and impeccably clean. The morning Lido temperature taking was easy enough and the ship felt really safe compared to the Carnival cruise which we took two days later.
