The was my 34 RCCL cruise and Odyssey OTS is one of the new ships to the fleet. The lay out in the promenade, its now called the Royal Espanade, with shops and guest services on decks 4 and 5. The Royal Theatre is in the front of the ship and the smaller. "Music Hall" is just adjacent to the w. It appears that the shops on the Espanade are pushed to the side and appear to smaller in size. A unique theatre and dining option is the "Two 70" on deck 5 forward its a theatre with an adjacent cafe, that serves soups, sandwiches and salads and the food is quite good and the entertainment is high tech.

"PLAYMAKERS" sports bar: Whoever designed the ship was not a sports fan. On the Oasis class ships the Playmakers sports bar is located on the Boardwalk and its large with full access to the numerous TV screens and sports. On the ODYSSEY it was stuck at the very top, deck 16, forward, it is chopped up, with some small rooms with TV's but it was not designed for viewing. Accessing this PLAYMAKERS, you have to go up to deck 15 via elevator and if you need to walk with a cane as I do, you have to walk all the way to the front of a ship and get into a small handicap elevator to deck 16.

The bar along the starboard side of the ship does have TV's but the smaller rooms only have three or four TV's, so it you sit down you can only see two big screen TV's. The access to this venue is not worth the effort.

Cabin Review

Ocean View with Large Balcony

Oceanview balcony, nice room with a BIG shower 12-664 starboard aft, balcony did not appear to be very big, two chairs and small table.
