A short break on a cruise ship locally during Covid restrictions. The third one since June having used Marella Explorer and Virgin Scarlet Lady. The food and cabin were of the usual high standard. Boarding lacked pre information as to going to Mayflower terminal for the Covid test and lack of help from port staff to move wheelchair and cases from car to terminal plus being misdirected for 2nd Covid test despite wearing arm bands denoting we were tested. The ship shows that it has been anchored for a year with marine growth around the plimsol line an paint spattered across our balcony but that is understandable in these times.

The crew were noticeably unhappy compared to the previous ships we had been on.

10 month contracts away from home is part of the job. But not allowed off the ship now.
